Upper School Update
Welcome back to school! Life seems to change quickly, doesn’t it? Only three weeks prior to today, we were still tentatively planning on Winterim trips, internships and classes. As of Monday, we have fully transitioned to Distance Learning Communities (DLCs) from kindergarten through twelfth grade. This has left our heads spinning, but we are slowly finding a new normal. I commend your students for their composure and attentiveness during the first week back to school. We are committed to partnering with you as much as possible through this season, however long it lasts.

Middle School Update
Thank you for your patience as we transition from “brick and mortar” school to our Distance Learning Communities. The teachers and I have been working hard to learn new educational platforms and analyzing new programs that will continue our curriculum progression. Obviously, this is new to us all and it will take time to settle into what is essentially a whole new schedule. I liken it to the beginning of a whole new school year except that the teachers already have a relationship with your child.

Lower School Update
Welcome to our first full week of Distance Learning Communities (DLC)! Your encouraging words of support have meant a great deal to the Lower School staff. It has been amazing to see great collaboration, creativity, and determination from each grade level team. From our end, the students are adjusting well, participating, and learning. I have watched our students working out math problems, reading wonderful stories, and lifting their classmates up in prayer. Believe it or not, I even watched a student dissect a rat on Zoom! ACA’s Lower School is in full swing and it’s been a beautiful process to witness firsthand.
