BA, Bethel University, MN; MSW, Univ of Nebraska, Omaha; Certified Guidance Professional, Anderson University, SC

Keri earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in social work from Bethel University (MN) and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After working for several years as a psychotherapist and adoption services coordinator, she and her husband, Rob, moved to Black Mountain, NC from her home state of Iowa in 2002. Rob was a music professor at Montreat College and Keri worked there for fifteen years in various roles including teaching, counseling, and serving in Enrollment Management, most recently as the Registrar. Their daughter was born in 2004 and started attending Asheville Christian in 4th grade.

Keri was thrilled to begin work at ACA in 2017 as Director of College Guidance. This position beautifully weaves together all of her previous work experiences with her heart for students. Keri describes what ignites her passion for her job by stating, “It is a joy to discover how God has uniquely fashioned each child, and exploring the plans He has for each one. I love encouraging students to embrace their identities in Christ, reduce their anxieties, and demystify the college admissions process.”
